*** Please note that this build is not an actual game. I am currently testing a small part of the plans I have for the game.***

What’s done so far : the core pilot aspect and the navigation from title, menus to end of mission.  I used Unity 2019.3.

The first goal is to give the sensation to pilot in space with almost no drag and with gravity. For the moment gravity is a basic force applied along a vector when you are in the range of the object, but I plan to implement Newton’s formula.

The current challenge is combining the feeling of piloting in space where you have to find and stick to the perfect curve to take advantage of the gravity to avoid dangers and flee from your opponents with more fun driving feature like dogfight style moments. I plan to add a system for upgrade the ship, and a dialogue system to unravel the story.

How do you think people travel between wormholes in space ?

They take a cab... and that's you. 

You drive a cab....in space. Avoid asteroids and use gravity to get speed, save fuel and make your customers happy.
